This is a two year degree with a total of 120 ECTS credits - 60 in the first year and another 60 in the second year. In the first year, the study plan comprises a series of subjects (four in each semester) with 7.5 ECTS credits each; in the second year, students will have to write a dissertation or develop a project. The first year study plan consists of two compulsory subjects and two optional subjects per semester.

Trata-se de um curso de dois anos com um total de 120 créditos ECTS - 60 no primeiro ano e outros 60 no segundo. No primeiro ano, o plano de estudos compreende uma série de disciplinas (quatro em cada semestre) com 7,5 créditos ECTS cada uma; no segundo ano, os estudantes terão de escrever uma dissertação ou desenvolver um projeto. O plano de estudos do primeiro ano é composto por duas disciplinas obrigatórias e duas disciplinas opcionais por semestre.

This is the list of optional subjects that may be offered. The optional subjects on offer may differ each year, and depend mainly on the availability of lecturers to teach these courses.

Esta é a lista de disciplinas optativas que podem funcionar. As disciplinas opcionais em oferta podem ser diferentes a cada ano, e dependem sobretudo da disponibilidade dos docentes para ministrar estes cursos.

In the second year, the students can choose to write a dissertation or develop a more practical project, which will be accompanied by a report. In order to terminate the course successfully, the dissertation or project will go through a public viva in the presence of a jury of three elements. 

On the other hand, the students can choose not to do the second year of studies, in which case they will be awarded the Diploma of Specialisation in English Language, Literature and Culture.

No segundo ano, os estudantes podem optar por escrever uma dissertação ou desenvolver um projeto mais prático, o qual será acompanhado por um relatório. No final, a dissertação ou projeto passará por uma defesa pública, na presença de um júri de três elementos.

Por outro lado, os estudantes podem optar por não fazer o segundo ano de estudos, caso em que lhes será atribuído o Diploma de Especialização em Língua, Literatura e Cultura Inglesa.
